이분은 일기를 어릴때 부터 쓰셨나 아니면 기억력이 엄청 좋은 것인가?
아니면 살짝 지어내셧나? 여튼 어린시절 부터 각각 이야기에서 나오는 디테일이 정말 나는 내인생에 작년에 일어난 일만큼의 디테일보다 더 정교하시다.
캠프에서 부당하게 살았지만 운도 좋았겠지만 여차저차 나름 미국사회에서 성공한 삶을 사셨다. 물론 동양계인지라 백인이었으면 훨씬 더 대성한 영화배우가 되셨을지도 모르겟다. 스타트렉의 과학자 역할을 맡으실 수 있으신건 아마 천운에 실력과 열성도 같이 삼박이 맞았으니 되셨을거다.
키요사키씨 부자 아빠같은 부동산 투자로 연기에 열중 할 수 있었던것이 아닐가 싶기도 하다.
(역시 소비보다 투자다!)
한창 인권운동 히피 운동을 겪고 스타트렉까지 출연하셔서인지 뭔가 인류에 대한 희망같은것이 가득하시다. 나도 그랬으면 좋겠으나 21세기에도 쉽진 않은 것같다.
But, whatever our histories, however tortured and adversarial they may have been, our destinies are bound inextricably together. We have a common future. Our challenge lies, not in carrying the weight of our pasts like anchors, but in working in concert to build that common tomorrow.
On Captain Kirk
The last three years have given me a wonderful gift of shared experience and rich relationships. Colleagues had become synonymous with friends. But Bill in his single-minded drive for personal success had made himself oblivious to the human riches surrounding him. With his shining armor of charm and wit, he had only taken and not experienced. His unrelenting determination to protect what he had gotten had only isolated him and make him the poorer.
